Trimming / Pruning

Pruning is the selective removal of structurally unsound tree limbs. It is used to make a tree healthier and increases cosmetic appeal.  Trimming is used to remove limbs that may be compromised, or healthy limbs that are a potential threat to your property.  Pruning or trimming can take less time, or when done properly, sometimes more time than removing trees.

Cabling & Bracing

When trees have unhealthy branching, fractured limb structure, decay, or a poor root system, there is a risk for failure. Some tree species produce heavy crops of fruit or acorns which increase failure risk.  Improper pruning can add to weak unions.  Large limbs, trunks, or entire trees may crash down on anything underneath them.

Synthetic cabling and bracing rods may be installed to offer support.  Properly placed cables between limbs can redistribute the load of weight, allowing limbs and trunks to support each other.  Bracing rods are often used to support splitting codominant limbs by bolting them together. It is a great option to help save a beautiful tree that doesn't necessarily need to come down. We aim to keep your trees healthy, and around for as long as possible!

Our consulting team is trained in this area and will be happy to inspect your trees. Give us a call today!
